		<description>I don't know if I should be happy or sad to see my PL/I example cited 37 years later.

Happy, because I'm glad to be helpful even after all these years.

Sad, because if I'd done my job better, it shouldn't have been necessary to use this example after two generations of programmers have been born, raised, educated, and put to work.

Happy, because people are still at work trying to teach the fundamental lessons of our profession. That gives me hope.
